Abacus

For all contraception needs and some sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing   

Brook

For all contraception needs, and STI testing, for young people under-25 years. 

Student Health Centre

The student health centre (run by Brownlow Health) has a drop in service providing STI testing, contraception, emergency contraception and free condoms for:

  • Any student of Liverpool University (living in postcodes L1, L2, L3, L6, L7, L8, L15, L17, L18 - includes all halls, Smithdown Rd / Wavertree Rd areas)
  • Students of JMU or Hope (or in fact any patient) can also register ONLY if they live in the Brownlow Health catchment area: L1, L2, L3, parts of L6/7/8 – phone for details or see their website.

The Liverpool Centre for Sexual Health (GUM)

A free, confidential comprehensive sexual health and contraception walk-in service for men and women of all ages and children over the age of 13.  This is the best place to go to if you have symptoms (any feeling of illness or physical change), and think you have an STI.
